About Me

Hello, I’m Karen Gallacher a registered childminder in Chippenham. I offer warm, fun and friendly home-based childcare for babies and pre-school children from my home in Pewsham, Chippenham.

I have lived in Chippenham for over 10 years with my husband and two daughters. We also have a much loved family dog called Tilly. I have always enjoyed spending time with children and consider myself to be a friendly, patient and caring person.

I have previously worked in the caregiving profession and have over 16 years experience caring for children as a stay-at-home parent. I have been Ofsted registered since early 2015. Please feel free to contact me directly if you are looking for a childminder in Chippenham.

My Approach to Childminding

I am passionate about supporting each individual child I care for in a safe, stimulating and fun environment to help them achieve their full potential. As a registered Childminder, I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) to support the learning and development of all children in my care.

I am also part of the Pewsham Childminding Group, a group of local childminders who meet and arrange social activities for the children in our care.

I provide you with a daily record of what your child has been up to and I keep a confidential personal file with a record of your child’s overall development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and Ofsted guidelines.

Accreditation & Insurance

I am registered with and inspected by Ofsted. I am also a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY).  I hold a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) certificate and I am fully insured to provide childcare in my home with appropriate Public Liability Insurance.
